I have 42 notebooks filled with drawings of your face (mostly comprised of the back of your head), your boots, the names of our future cat children…

Now that I see that you have noticed me THREE times, it could only mean one thing...you love me too. I'm not very good with with words (and have no business blogging) so I have attached this video which I believe to be a more accurate portrayal of the feelings I have for you.

Meet Pam Powers Knits

I was introduced to Pam Powers by way of my other favorite client, Susan Holding from the Little French Bakery. I was in the middle of a move and recovering from my first and only (knock-on-wood) "Client from Hell" experience, but Susan insisted that I would love working with Pam and that it would be a perfect fit as well. She was right.

Not only is Pam a ridiculously talented knitwear designer; she's witty, cool, funny as hell, a brilliant photographer and a sister night-owl to boot.

Working with Pam was dream. You know, the client that trusts you to solve design problems because you are their designer? Pam.

The client that gives you space and encouragement while you work through the less-than-stellar-ideas phase? Pam.

The client with impeccable taste that not only knows exactly what she wants, but can expertly communicate exactly what she wants?....What?!! Pam.

Hope this serves as a bit of encouragement to my fellow freelancers; dream clients do exist. 

Here is a little peek at the new Pam Powers Knits Branding, but you should really do yourself a  favor and pop on over to her website and pick up a couple of of her beautiful patterns...think "Anthopologie for Knitters." Seriously great stuff. And for the knitting impaired (myself included) she has tutorials and patterns for beginners as well. After seeing her designs, I for one can't wait to finally try my hand at knitting this winter.

And can we just talk about Pam Power's Photography for a moment?

It certainly doesn't hurt when your dream client suddenly provides you with swoon worthy photography. Isn't it fantastic? In retrospect, it wasn't until Pam began uploading her photos to our shared folder, that the branding really started to come together.

Can We Save Our Planet's Dying Fish Populations?

The collapse of fish populations globally is driven by a combination of overfishing, climate change, habitat destruction, pollution, and unsustainable fishing practices. Overfishing depletes stocks faster than they can reproduce, while bycatch from non-selective fishing methods exacerbates the problem.

Climate change is warming ocean temperatures, altering fish metabolism, breeding patterns, and migration routes, while ocean acidification affects the growth and survival of marine organisms. Destruction of critical habitats, such as coral reefs and mangroves, further reduces fish populations' breeding and feeding grounds.

Pollution from plastics and chemicals contaminates marine environments, impacting fish health and reproduction. Unsustainable practices like bottom trawling and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing further damage ecosystems and deplete stocks. Addressing these issues requires sustainable fishing practices, the establishment and enforcement of marine protected areas, pollution control, climate change mitigation, improved fisheries management, and international cooperation to ensure the long-term health of fish populations and marine ecosystems.

New Year + New Friends = AWESOME!

It has been a couple of days since winter solstice, and I can honestly report that I MISS THE FRICKIN' SUN!!!!  I am screaming this declaration from the tips of my tiniest norwegian/irish sun-starved veins, directing it through the EARTH'S NORTHERN HEMISPHERE + and aiming it at the heart of the SUN!…..ahhh, now that was therapeutic.
